CORE Special Projects Ltd, are expanding due to our continued success within earthworks, remediation and infrastructure markets.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR a motivated Quantity Surveyor, degree qualified and from a Civil Engineering contracting background to supplement our existing commercial team.

The role is varied and includes (but not limited to):

– Measurement

– Identifying & valuing variations

– Providing contract advice and support to sites

– Preparation of Interim/Final accounts

– Claims submissions

– Internal cost/value reporting

– Cost forecasting & Budgeting

– Expected Cash forecasting

– Subcontract Procurement

– Attending meetings & negotiating with clients

Key skills
– Numeracy

– Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

– Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

The type of schemes are varied in value (£250k – £15m), scope of works (Drainage, road construction, bulk earthworks, remediation works), and mainly acting as Main Contractor for end user clients/developers. A key part of the role will be liaising with a range of other teams working on the project, helping it to stay on track and within budget.
