Barnsley West Roundabouts: Infrastructure

In January 2024, CORE was awarded a sizable project – the construction of two roundabouts – as part of the development plans for a 122 hectare site by a consortium known as Sterling Strata Barnsley West (a JV between Strata Homes and Sterling Capitol).

The site is near Junction 37 of the M1 in South Yorkshire and the work content relates to two separate locations providing access to development land. The new roundabouts on High

Common Road and Barugh Green Road provide a northern and southern access into the mixed-use development.
