LATEST CONTRACT WIN TAKES TURNOVER TO MORE THAN £20M FOR CORE

A new deal with Next Distribution Ltd, has taken the turnover of Leeds-based civil engineering firm CORE, to more than £20m.

CORE has recently commenced enabling works near the Redhouse Interchange estate near Doncaster for retail giant Next.

The £3m package comprises a new roundabout and reconstruction of existing roads together with construction of ‘Showmans’ accommodation area. The works will commence this month and will be complete by June 2021.

A breakdown of the full scope of works is as follows:

Highway works

· Site clearance

· New drainage

· New signs & bollards

· Kerbs footpaths and edgings

· New road construction and resurfacing

· Roundabout

· Landscaping

· Traffic management

· Street lighting and road markings

Showmans

· Site clearance

· Excavation of topsoil and subsoil

· Concrete slabs

· Kerbs edgings and substantial paved areas

· Porous asphalt

· Porous concrete paving

· Landscaping, hedging, trees and boundary fencing

· Drainage and ducting

CORE Special Projects Ltd was established in 2015, headed by John Duffy and Alan Cooper, who have more than 30 years’ experience in civils and remediation. The subsidiary company CORE Civils allows CORE to offer a full civil engineering service to its clients from infrastructure and earthworks to site remediation work.
