CORE completes Eggborough roundabouts

CORE have successfully completed the roundabouts on the A19 near Eggborough that have improved access to the power station site ahead of planned redevelopment.

In June 2023 CORE was awarded the major package at the above site as part of a new industrial/commercial development for developers St Francis Group and Marshall Commercial Development Projects Ltd, known together as Core 62.

The package of works included; a new roundabout on A19, a new footpath linking to Eggborough village, on site roads and infrastructure and, modifications to the existing A645/A19 roundabout.

Additional onsite activities included; earthworks, drainage, attenuation, road construction, lighting, signs, diversions of existing stats, new incoming services and landscaping.

Team CORE did a great job of minimising inconvenience to road users throughout the construction period and we are delighted to have got to this exciting stage of the development. We are sure the benefit is already being felt by many local road users!
