CORE Special Projects Ltd been awarded a further substantial package of work for Commercial Development Projects Ltd at the site of Bradford’s Gain Lane strategic development.
The Leeds-Based civils contractor will carry out the Earthworks and Reinforced earth walls to the new commercial development.
This major work package commences later this month for a duration of at least 20 weeks. It includes substantial excavation, filling, soil improvement, topsoil removal, rock excavation/processing, a road extension, drainage and huge earth walls.
Gain Lane is one of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Zones which is supported by the LEP, the Combined Authority, Bradford Council, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and Marshall Construction (West Yorkshire) Limited.
CORE is already on site for Commercial Development Projects Ltd/Marshall Construction having been awarded an initial package of works in October 2019 to remove existing track/fencing, install 776m drainage and construct approximately 500m of new road to tie into the existing highway.

“Due to the restrictive access and topography, development of the site is challenging and for his latest contract we will be removing over 20,000 cubic metre of topsoil and constructing a 17metre high retaining wall.”
