CORE elves donate huge haul of food to Leeds South and East Foodbank

The CORE Christmas elves have been busy again this year – making a huge delivery to the The Leeds South and East Foodbank (part of The Trussell Trust).

As we all look forward to Christmas it is time to think of those less fortunate than ourselves. This year CORE decided once again to support the Leeds South and East food bank, in their mission to provide ‘One Thousand Christmas parcels Appeal’ for local families.  The aim is to help give those families the items they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford, including special treats.

Christmas is a time for giving and we are thankful to everyone at #teamCore who kindly donated items for this important community charity.

The soaring cost of living means more and more people are being forced to use this support. During what is likely to be the most challenging year that the food bank has ever faced – there has been a 30% increase on previous years at a time when food donations have dropped considerably, due to the recent cost of living crisis – we are privileged to help bring a little Christmas spirit to families in Leeds.
